How To Change Your LinkedIn Password

Due to the recent hacking of over 6 million LinkedIn passwords you really should change your password regardless of weather yours was hacked or not. Changing your passwords regularly every few months is something you should do anyway especially in this era of Cyber Crime. The most secure passwords are 8 digits long including one upper case letter a number and make it entirely random. No pet names or kids names. In fact nothing that has a connection to you in any way. LinkedIn’s Official Response.

From LinkedIn:

  • “Make sure you update your password on LinkedIn (and any site that you visit on the Web) at least once every few months.
  • Do not use the same password for multiple sites or accounts.
  • Create a strong password for your account, one that includes letters, numbers, and other characters.
  • Watch out for phishing emails and spam emails requesting personal or sensitive information.”

Here’s how: Log into your LinkedIn account and go to settings/Account/Change Password. See Pics for details
